Who we are

Carolina Outboard was started on the idea of opening a family owned and operated business to serve the needs of boat owners with personable, quality service. It is our desire to be a valuable asset to you in your experience as a boat owner. Carolina Outboard has grown through word of mouth advertising up to this point, and we are very proud to be able to say that. We think it speaks highly to the type of service we provide our customers. We are grateful for the opportunity that is before us, and will always work hard for our customers and strive to be the best. At Carolina Outboard, we take pride in what we do, and stand behind our work.

Chris Jones: Owner and operator Chris has been in this area for 22 years. He has worked his way up in the boat business from the time he was a teenager. Chris is a Certified Master Yamaha technician. Carolina Outboard is the culmination of all of his years of experience and training as an outboard motor technician, and as a service manager. Chris is passionate about Carolina Outboard and has a true respect for the needs of our customers. Chris is a valuable asset to any boat owner. He is joined in this endeavor by Vickie, his wife of 12 years.

James Hinman: We are very excited to announce that James Hinman, known to a lot of you as "Jimbo," has recently joined our team at Carolina Outboard. Jimbo has worked with Chris and Lindsay previously for over for over 4 years. He has worked on outboard motors for 12 years, and is a certified Volvo-Penta and Yamaha technician. Jimbo is exceptional in his abilities as a technician, and very experienced in boat electronics. He is meticulous and thorough in his work, and truly enjoys what he does. His talents, however, go beyond mechanics. He is also very talented in crafting specialty wood and starboard pieces for boats.
